Course description:
The inaugural Race the Base Trail Run at Pinnacle Mountain State Park in support of the Partners for Pinnacle volunteer group to aid our mission to promote public awareness of and enhance the programs and events at the park.
The race will start in Stuckey Field, on the west side of Hwy 300. The 3 mile course will take runners along the edge of the Kingfisher Trail and around the Base Trail to the finish line where music and refreshments will be waiting for participants and their supporters. The trail is very rocky and has many obstacles, please be mindful of the terrain while racing. This race is for experienced trail runners. We ask that racers be at least 15 years old on race day. The trail will not be closed to the public however signs and trail marshals will be posted to help facilitate traffic, safety first! There will be one water station on the course, mid-way through the race near the East Summit Trailhead.
Registration and chip timing will be provided by Mac’s Race Timing Service. Trophies will be awarded for the top 3 Male and Female overall finishers, age 15-19, age 20-29, age 30-39 and Masters age 40+
This race will be limited to 200 pre-registered runners.
Race day registration is not guaranteed.
Registration is $25. T-shirts and schwag will be provided as well
as post-race giveaways.
